Day 6 of Zakka Handmades Blog Tour - Harujion Design

Grannies crocheted by me

Hello everyone!  Today is Day 6 of Zakka Handmades blog tour which means that we're at the midpoint of the tour! (Only five more stops to go!) Our stop for today is Hiromi at Harujion Design (English blog). She also manages her Japanese blog, Hibi Labo Journal.

A little bit about Hiromi... Before moving to the U.S. in 2005, Hiromi worked as a handwork designer in Japan. She has authored several craft books in Japanese, and instructed classes in Tokyo. She now lives in Northern Indiana with her husband and young daughter. She continues to create beautiful and matriculate handmade creations and sells her work at her etsy shop and at a local boutique.

Hiromi's latest tutorial: Reversible Patchwork Spiral Basket.  Love the patchwork bottom of this basket!

Another popular tutorial by Hiromi: Flower Garden Granny Square Bag. The flower petals are too sweet to pass!

And below are my creations for the day...

Since I've always adored Hiromi's Flower Garden Granny Square tutorial (shown in above pic), I finally decided to give it a try and I'm so glad I did!  I have crocheted different kinds of granny squares before, but I must say that this one is by far the prettiest and most romantic granny square that I've stitched before!

My flower garden grannies

I've crocheted four grannies so far and I still have several more to stitch to make that cute bag like Hiromi's...

If you are amazed by Hiromi's fabulous tutorial projects like I am, check out her blog to see the beautiful zakka projects that she has created from my book that she's generously giving away to her blog readers! Of course, another copy of my book will be given away so head on over to her blog now!
